We focus our analysis on the largest metro area in the country: New York. Through our review and comprehensive mapping of the region, we find a more nuanced story, in which the end of the era of segregation is not at hand.

Multiple versions of the proposed lines were submitted by the Senate and Assembly majority parties and others. The Center for Urban Research has converted them to formats compatible with computer mapping software and online maps, available for downloading.

November 16, 2011 – The New York City Labor Market Information Service (NYCLMIS) at the CUNY Graduate Center, along with the New York State Department of Labor and its other research partners, completed a groundbreaking study to answer these questions. In keeping with the priorities of New York State’s Energy Plan, the Green Jobs Study focused on industry clusters that are most involved in energy efficiency and renewable energy: Construction, Building Services, Professional Services and Component Manufacturing.
